Iron Bridge (Coalbrookdale)


The famous Iron Bridge in Shropshire, England was the first bridge to be made of cast iron. Built by Abraham Darby in 1775 - 79, the bridge spans the river Severn in Coalbrookdale, now considered as the birthplace of the industrial revolution. This is a 1:160 scale model.of the central span of the bridge.

Model of Centre Point arrives

I have just received a 3D print of my model 'Centre Point' in White, Strong and Flexible material from the Shapeways site.. The model comes in 1:750 scale and measures 15.7cm high x 6.4cm wide x 2.9cm deep.

Bandstand (1:76 scale)




This model of a typically Edwardian style bandstand is based on the recently restored structure that now sits in Dartford's Central Park in south-east England.

Greenhouse

A model of a traditional style greenhouse with a brick base and wooden frame. This is a small but detailed model with brickwork on the interior as well as exterior and opened and closed skylights in the roof of the greenhouse. Available in 1:76 and 1:87 scales.

Seaside Shelter (Southsea)

This is an example of an Edwardian seaside shelter which can be found at Southsea on the south coast of England. The computer render shows the model printed in Frosted Ultra Detail material which allows for the thinnest walls and finest details.

Radio Telescope



This model is based on the radio telescopes that make up the Very Large Array in New Mexico, USA. In total, 27 of these radio telescopes make up the array. The computer render shows the model as it would look printed in White, Strong and Flexible material.

Pagoda

A model of a Japanese style pagoda. This is a computer render showing how the model would look printed in 'white, strong and flexible' material.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

A model of Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia. This was quite a complex model to design and took a while to complete. It is also one of the largest models at 37.42 x 10.18 x 4.96 cm. The attention to detail continues on the underside of the bridge, as you can see from the second image.

Seaside Shelter (Eastbourne)

This is an intricately detailed model of a Victorian seaside shelter, examples of which can be found in Eastbourne on the south coast of England. This one took quite a while to complete because of the complexity of the design.

Diving Platform

This diving platform is based on an image I found of a dis-used platform in Kabul.
